Broad Spotlight: Brittny from Pierre Into My Life
If you don’t know by now, Broad is obsessed with reality tv, more specifically, Bravo (and TLC too). Beard has no interest in the Real Housewives or 90 day Fiancé and honestly, he can barely tolerate these shows when they’re on tv. So it’s been important that Broad have other people to discuss these things with. Enter Brittny of Pierre into My LIfe. This woman is a pop culture encyclopedia who appreciates these reality tv star disasters as much as Broad does.
Broad met Brittny through the Cleveland bloggers group. Broad quickly recognized her not from the blogging world, but from some Real Housewives Facebook groups. Yes, there are groups about these batshit crazy women where fans go to gossip and speculate. Anyways, we’ve had the chance to hang out with this awesome woman who is more than a Housewives fan (she is also into 90 Day Fiancé) and Broad even attended a brunch with Brittny where they just talked about Housewives.
Now our Spotlight feature was intended to feature only CLE superstars, and technically Brittny falls in that category since she was living in The Land when she talked to us, but she has since moved to Chicago (sad face). Her blog features her thoughts on culture, music, travel and writing. Her work has been featured in publications such as Hello Giggles, VIBE magazine, Bustle, Complex, and The Village Voice to name a few. She’s interviewed housewives, has hilarious dating stories and her writing is just so smart and witty. Go check out her blog after you read this!
Disclosure: Broad just had to add some very important Housewives questions in addition to the usual CLE-centric questions, so deal with it!
What’s your favorite at-home drink?
I just like popping wine bottles at home. My 30s has made me appreciate a good bottle of red wine.
What’s your favorite drink to order when you’re out?
An Old Fashioned for a chill night, Appletini if I want to whoop it up.
What’s your favorite CLE restaurant when you’re on a budget? When you’re feeling fancy?
Budget: Johnny’s Little Bar
Fancy: Marble Room
Favorite CLE food item?
I don’t believe I have one (Broad here, this is surprising!)
What’s your favorite CLE dance/party spot?
I have two, Touch Supper Club’s I Got Five On It monthly event and Cleveland adjacent, Square Bar in Akron.
What’s your favorite travel destination?
There are so many great places I’ve visited, but if I could drop everything and move in a heartbeat, it would be Amsterdam.
Should Andy Cohen bring the Real Housewives franchise to Cleveland?
Absolutely! There are enough sports player wives, trust fund ladies, old money Bettys etc. that could be on the show. The Midwest definitely needs their own franchise and I think Cleveland would be a great first stop.
Which celebrity do you think would make the perfect Real Housewife and why?
I don’t know if she’s considered a celebrity but I would love to see Tiffany Pollard from Flavor of Love on one of the franchises. She’s so reality TV iconic. She would be a great fit on any of the franchises.
You’re stuck on a deserted island for an undetermined amount of time with your choice of 5 Real Housewives companions. Who do you pick and why?
This is definitely hard and I feel like eventually I would have to kill myself because at the end of the day, all the Housewies are insufferable.
- Nene for the laughs
- Bethenny because she’s really smart and I feel she’d organize a way for us to escape or at least provide us with Skinnygirl Margaritas.
- Porsha to bring thotlandia to the deserted island and she has the best responses to just about anything.
- Lisa Rinna, simply because I have a soft spot for her.
- Shannon, she’d put nine lemons in a bowl to bring us positive vibes and she’s also a lot of fun.
Let’s bring it back to CLE for the end. Your friend is in Cleveland for one day, what should they do?
Start the day having a drink at Nano Brew’s patio to check out the skyline, eat at The Plum, check out a show at Happy Dog, then play some old school games at the B-Side and ending the evening with some whiskey tasting at The Whiskey Bar.
Special thanks to Brittny for taking time out of her super busy schedule to chat with us. We will miss you! Be sure to check out her amazing page here.
What?!?! How does she not have a favorite?!?!
I love reading Brittny’s blog – her posts on the Kardashian kid’s names was just 🤣😂
Best wishes to Brittny! Sad to see her go but Chicago is awesome too!
Great article! Going to miss seeing Brittny around Cleveland! But, I guess that just means heading out to Chicago!!
Great interview! I too, would like to see a Real Housewives Cleveland edition…would be some (guilty) fun to see the local sparks fly.
